The biggest problem imo of Archeage was the cash shop, then the gold selling.
If you want this server to succede, make patron subscription with no P2W cash shop items and ban everyone that buys or sells gold.
It will attract more people that you can handle and imagine the constant income of the patron subbscriptions.
The game was superb. If you fix theese problems, u will get rich.

7000 hour Archeage player here.

Patron is free for all. The sub they offer is pure cosmetics and quality of life stuff 100% not needed. The cash shop is free of all p2w stuff, and is pure cosmetic stuff. Alt accounts, RMT, gold selling, hacking, exploiting, botting, are all against the rules. The the staff will be hunting these people out with much vigor. Multiple people have already been banned or are flagged to be banned for breaking these rules.

This team has been very transparent, and has worked very hard to make this a fun and fair experience for as many people as possible. I highly suggest in the future looking at the project and doing a little research before posting on the forums.

Hey Tex, welcome to the server. I agree with you about your concerns. But I don't think you need to worry, the team are doing an incredible job with AA Classic. There is no P2W in this server!

As for gold sellers, bots, cheaters and other nefarious types, check out the ban-list on Discord. It's a very satisfying read

For someone who doesn't have time, you spent plenty just to respond back. It literally takes you longer to make this thread than it does to find the information. If you actually looked on the Homepage before you even enter the forums you'll see it as you scroll down but since you're too lazy I've pasted such info below.

Everyone else seems to be understanding it and the server population is crazy healthy. Gotta be honest and call this a skill issue.

Well first off. You can read some of it on Discord rules channel, and some of it on these forums.

RMT is forbidden. Both seller/buyer gets permanently banned.

P2W - So we have been said there will be no p2w at launch ( or at least how they understand it - Bound items ). We are supposed to see the final version of the Marketplace probably a day before Launch.

But does also means things can change based on circumstances. So far the best I have heard was they are Aiming for no p2w.
However if people are able to get considerable amount of fun over a month or two for a reasonable price for a launch bundle, it's not terrible. I have been paying 50 bucks for 100 hours in a single-player game many times i believe over the years, so would probably be worth it still for most of the people around. Regardless of what turns out to be.

one thing that would be a good idea to ensure long term subscriptions imo would be to maybe give subs an extra 5000 labor cap with the same labor regen, its not p2w or anything just gives them more free time to take a break from the game or take a day off without having to worry about spending labor and would help ensure long term subs to keep the server payed for
